Joo Ree brings over a decade of experience in both public and private school settings where she worked extensively with children, caregivers, teachers, and administrators to design and implement tailored programs to meet the unique needs of individual students. Joo Ree holds degrees from Carleton College (B.A., Psychology), University of Minnesota (Ed.S., School Psychological Services) and University of Colorado - Denver (Ed.S., Leadership for Educational Organization). Joo Ree’s passion for creating equitable learning environments drives her work with families and schools.
As an independent consultant, she empowers caregivers to advocate for their child’s best interests by offering expert guidance in:
- Understanding and selecting appropriate evaluation options to identify a child’s strengths and areas of need.
- Referrals to supportive services including tutoring, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and mental health.
- Finding schools that best fit a child’s unique learning profile and developmental needs.
- Advocating for high-quality IEP services, gifted and twice exceptional programming, and accommodation (Section 504) plans to ensure children receive the support they need to thrive.
Joo Ree is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children and their caregivers through thoughtful advocacy, personalized support, and a deep understanding of the complex challenges faced by neurodivergent students. She is the proud mother of two daughters, one of whom is twice exceptional.
