Growing up in Montreal, Canada, Michelle always knew she wanted to combine her creativity and artistic skills with her desire to teach and help people into a professional mission. While completing her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology at McGill University, Michelle also discovered her love of the structures and functions of the human body. Michelle then combined her medical, artistic, and people-oriented interests to earn her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy at McGill University. Prior to specializing in Pediatric Occupational Therapy, Michelle worked with adults in outpatient Orthopedic, cardiovascular and mental health rehabilitation.
After moving to the NY-area, Michelle worked with preschoolers and elementary-aged children with special education needs in New York City in both the public and private school system. She is experienced in supporting individuals with sensory processing differences, Autism, ADHD, and various behavioral and learning profiles. She believes in providing consistent routines and positive reinforcement for children, as well as empathetic support, organizational strategies, and practical solutions for parents.
Since becoming a mother to two boys, Michelle puts her beliefs into practice by providing structure, patience, and creative spaces in her home for her family. Michelle is excited to join The Collective to support your family with actionable, OT-based strategies.
